A client's case does not come in the door of any law office "pre-packaged." It seldom comes in as a "personal injury" or "divorce" or "contract" matter alone.

To explain, since I handle many personal injury cases and they constitute the bulk of my practice: More often than not, that "personal injury"case will involve contract issues with health and accident insurance companies, automobile insurance companies and other general liability insurers----and sometimes it will involve the state or federal government (where Medicaid or Medicare or other pension issues are involved). It quite often will involve or require the opening of an estate if a death is involved. It sometimes becomes mixed with a divorce or other family issues that involve the law. Some cases involve issues that call for a change in the law and can become involved in appeals. All the cases involve a great deal of anxiety for everyone invovled in them. It is never just a matter of money. Nor is it ever just a matter of principle. Money is almost always involved. And so is legal principle.

I insist upon handling each of these aspects of the case for the client so long as it is in my area of expertise. That way I stay intimately acquainted with what my clients need and when they need it. No "personal injury" case is ever "simple" and none of them are alike.  All of them involve issues that stretch outside medical issues (although medical issues are usually central---no matter if the case involves a broken facial bone, a traumatic brain injury or wrongful death). The more coordinated the legal approach, the better the result. That has been my experience and my practice. I have been doing this since 1980.

I return all phone calls and any other types of client correspondence courteously and promptly. Usually within the hour, certainly within the day. I stress to my clients to do likewise with me.

All initial consultations are free. Personal injury cases are handled on a percentage of recovery basis, sometimes called a "contingency" fee (COURT COSTS AND CASE EXPENSES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT REGARDLESS OF ANY RECOVERY. IN CASE OF RECOVERY, THEY ARE DEDUCTED FROM THE GROSS PROCEEDS, AS ARE ATTORNEY FEES, BEFORE DISTRIBUTION OF THE REMAINDER TO THE CLIENT). Other types of cases that do not involve personal injuries are generally billed at an hourly rate and an advance non-refundable retainer will be required. You and I will sign a written contract in all cases so that you know exactly, or have a good approximation, of what the fees and any other expenses will be.

I practice the following types of cases:
  • Truck and Car Accidents
  • Medical Malpractice Injuries
  • Legal Malpractice Claims
  • Cases involving Wrongful Death
  • Falls on private and commercial property
  • Products Liability Cases
  • Divorce and Family Law Cases
  • Contracts and Insurance Issues
  • General Civil Litigation Involving Contracts and Insurance
  • Criminal Defense such as DUI/DWI
  • Probate (Estates, Wills and Trusts)
  • All Types of Appeals
